I have the hard drive from my old acer laptop and I have decided to plug it into my mac and boot up on it. This is the first time of trying this (with this hard drive, however, I have booted up on a different usb) so this hasn't worked before. It fails its startup so I go back to do startup repair, however, immediately after pressing "next" the first time, startup repair says: "This version of system recovery options is not compatible with the version of windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recover disk that is compatible with this version of windows."
