Worth it to upgrade from 2x4gb 1866 to 2x8gb 1600?

Current build is

GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P

AMD FX-6300 3.5ghz

Corsair Vengeance 8gb RAM 1866

Gigabyte 7850 2gb OC

Thermaltake 600w PSU

Radeon R7 265

My question is, would it be worth it to sacrifice the 1866 to go to 1600 for the extra 8 gigs of ram? And if there is any real notice to the drop.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: This is the ram I was thinking about getting http://

Hey thanks! There was another thread that I just saw, is it possible to actually use both of these rams together in my motherboard without any kind of short or long term problem?

Would the Corsair Vegeance just be downclocked to 1600?

Unfortunately, Tiger Direct doesn't show the timings of the RAM. So I don't know if that will be a problem. Also what is JEDEC?

CL 11-11-11-28, for some reason I feel like that is not a good thing.

That's standard JEDEC timings for DDR3-1600. It means that this is not a "binned" kit. It does not mean that it is a bad kit though. It just didn't go through the screening process to become a high performance kit. It may very well overclock good anyway, or it may not, lol.

Well darn, I already bought it and it already has shipped. To late to cancel my order now!

I noticed there were better 2x8gb ram for around the same price range.

I'll be using it for mainly gaming and thats it, so will I notice a difference in speed at all? Even with normal tasks?

True! I guess now i'm just kicking myself for not getting CL 9 on other 2x8gb ram. With the same exact price, lol.
