Hi

I just bought Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB) Vengeance Pro Black DDR3 1866MHz CL9 and I want to make sure their are compatible with my sabertooth z77 and my I7 2600.I can't find them on my motherboard manual.I should have asked before buying but the discount was good.I should get them on Tuesday. The ram is 1.5v(as per intel specification) and is clocked at 1866 as per motherboard specification.

Thank You

Solution
The 2600 can generally handle 1866 with no problem, simply go into BIOS , enable XMP and select profile 1...if any problems give me a shout ;)

Motherboard manufacturers do not have the time nor motivation to test every single stick of RAM that comes out on the market. You should be perfectly fine using that RAM in your motherboard even though it's not listed as strictly compatible.

Hi

I tried the asus website but there is not much listed there, on the corsair website the description indicate compatibility with gen 3 and 4 Intel processors no mention of gen 2.Should I cancel?

Hi

Thanks I'll try, looking on-line it seems that you are right, i find it strange that corsair would put the the compatibility section and not mention sandy bridge, also the corsair vengeance pro specification is identical to the normal vengeance.
