I have recently bought a R9 270 OC and put it into my current system, which in time I am going to completely upgrade.

My question is how much of a bottle neck am I getting on this card in my current setup, as it doesn't seem to be performing great.

My specs:
MSI R9 270 OC
E6300 pentium dual core
4gb DDR2 ram
Old MSI motherboard

Planed upgrade in time:
Fx 6300
8gb DDR3 ram
New mobo
New PSU
New hdd

Sorry if I come across as a noob, because I am one.

Here go with this combo , the board has a 8+2 power design = great fit for the FX6300.

Seasonic made power supply at a steal of a price.

I can't say the percentage of the bottleneck but I can say... it bottlenecks your videocard so hard.

I suggest you to get the FX6300 processor to have the card reach its potential as your dualcore cpu is holding it back.

And you definitely need to change everything, except your GPU.

Thank you the replies all of you didn't expect it to be so fast, i am on very tight budget as I am a student.

I was thinking because of this, do i really need to change my mobo? it is an Asus P5KC seen below: http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/P5KC/

I was thinking i could ugrade my ram to ddr3 8gb as it supports it, and put in an Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 with 6mb cache and 3.33Ghz?

Or possibly a Q9400 quad core, or a Q6600?

Or any other LGA775 socket cpus you recommend?

How would this work with my current R9 270?

Thanks again for the replies all of you.
