Should I wait to buy this card or buy now while it has a rebate?

So, Im looking at a Powercooler AX7850 that has a $30 USD rebate, which brings the price down to a mere $100. I'm worried that the rebate will go away if I wait (it expired 5/8 and the rebate purchase date was renewed to 5/15). On the other hand, I'm not going to order parts and start building my pc until the beginning of June, so I would only have about 15 days out of the 30 day return period to make sure the card is working fine to return to Newegg. What route should I take? Do rebates typically last a long time, or is it that when it's gone, it's gone for good?

Buy what you can afford. If that's the best you can afford and you want it right now, then go for it.

the best time to buy something is when you see it. this particular card is a great performer for very little money. it's also been discontinued so you won't see many after a short while. buy it now......... don't screw around.

The 7850 is a good card however the rebate requires the UPC be removed from the box and newegg will not accept returns with the UPC removed from the box. It has to be must be postmarked within 25 days of purchase date or the day that you placed the order online so it is a tradeoff between sending in the rebate on time and double checking everything.

the 7850 will be rebadged as r7 265 by overclocking with an 90 MHz increase in its core clock and the price is $150

the new version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Also powercolor requires hand written information on their rebate form for handwriting comparisons.

the main thing about this card is the 256 bit memory channel and the twin fans

Please note that there is only one DVI out so if you will be using 2 DVI monitors then you will need a HDMI or DisplayPort adapter
