Hi guys first of all this is my first ever build so please go easy.
Right so i am in the middle of buying 2 Asus Radeon HD6570 1gb graphics cards which are described to be crossfire compatible, i am in no way shape or form a gamer i just need the extra dvi/vga slots for a multiple monitor set up for word processing and a few other bits and bobs.

As i know you are unable to crossfire these cards with a crossfire bridge as there is no adapter on the cards themselves to do so. However my motherboard a gigabyte H87-HD3 does have crossfire on it with more than enough PCI-E slots. Does simply inserting these low profile cards into the PCI-E slots make them crossfired?

Thanks guys.

Correct, no crossfire bridge required. All the data is sent over the PCI-Express bus.
