Hello,

So I own a MSI R7850 Twin Frozr III, a kind friend of mine gave me the exact same card and i am thinking about crossfiring, my question is will I be "bottlenecking" the performance of those card if I use both on Asus P8Z77 - V LX? If so, what different (not micro atx) mobo I can go for without losing (much) performance by crossfiring?

Budget $140CAD-$170CAD.

Thank you in advance!

You have 1 PCIe 3 and 1 PCIe 2 both x16 so I think it should be fine at x8.. but you could do better with both being x16 as SR-71 above linked.

I think x8 bottlenecks by %5 while x16 cant be reached..

I have the Asus P8Z77 V LX and It does say that it is Crossfire compatible but I really do not thing that second PCI-E 16x slot is for a graphics card. The Blue slot is PCI-E 16X 3.0/2.0 the Black is just PCI-E 4x 2.0. So more so it is for other expansion cards like a raid card or sound card or whatever. I meant to get the Asus P8Z77 V LK as they are very similar in price but the LK has one more PCI-E 16x slot and is SLI and Crossfire compatible...Ordered the wrong Board and they looked similar even in the name so I did not notice until I got the MB.

Sorry for being a pain, but to activate the windows again, all i need is the CD-key? It wont give me a msg saying that another computer is using it?
