overclocking help please

i have a amd fx 8320 with the biostar ta970 motherboard i have overclocked from 3.5 to 4.0 and ran plenty of stress tests and 4.0 is the best i can go without over heating. now im wondering what would be the best cooler to use to boost to about 4.4ish right now im running the stock cooler thanks for the help

you could try a evo 212 .

A nice inexpensive CPU cooler is the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. It usually runs around $30.

i know my motherboard isn't the greatest for oc'ing but how much higher would the 212 evo let me push it

With that motherboard I wouldn't try anything hard.. 4.4 might be ok.. The Hyper 212 EVO is good for what your doing.

It's hard to say, each CPU will have different results. Even if same make and model.

i had one to my system who use to start at 30 c and go to 56 c on load now it run at 22 c and 29 c max on load .
