Hi,
I'm trying to build a PC that I can use at home to work on, as well as be able to play games. I'm an artist at a game company, and I work heavily in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and After Effects (All CS6). I also have a Cintiq (22 HD), that I would like to use without lag/delay issues (I have a laptop atm, which just can't handle the Cintiq at all q.q) I'd like to keep the tower on the smaller side, but I'm willing to settle for a full tower if need be.
I also have the option of saving money by using my significant other's hand-me-down CPU and GPU (i5-2500k Sandy Bridge, GTX 560) - please let me know if this is a good idea or will be a problem
Approximate Purchase Date: In the next two months.
Budget Range: ~1,000
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Use cintiq, use Adobe Creative Suite CS6, Play games, Video Chat, watching movies, surfing web
Parts Not Required: Cintiq, Gaming Mouse

Parts Preferences: Intel, nVIDIA
Overclocking: Maybe - not right this moment, but perhaps down the road
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe - not right this moment, but perhaps down the road
RAID: 1 TB HDD for storage, maybe SSD boot.
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080.
Additional Comments: Games are like MMO RPGs, League of Legends, Skype/video chat...hard core gamer stuff

This is my first attempt at building a computer. I realize that it is a bit ambitious of a project, but I'm asking for advice because I don't want to make any huge mistakes.
My priorities are - Performance, Stability, Upgradability, Aesthetics
