I was filling up a form, where when I put my name as XXXXX XXXX it was showing that "Only A-Z are allowed"...that website was considering the "space" as a special character that's only in firefox, chrome, maxthon and some other browsers but not in Internet Explorer. To fill up that form i rushed to an Internet Cafe and guess what i found there, that was happening only in my PCs, both my desktop and Laptop but not in other PCs...I tried everything from uninstalling some keyboard software to changing browsers font setting, encoding setting...But problem still persists...

And if you know there is a browser called Chrome plus where there is a option to change the browser to IE mode or Chrome mode...problem was NOT there in IE mode but in Chrome mode, it was there...Interesting!!!

Can anyone help me with this...Please...

Solution
Someone clearly didn't test their javascript on multiple browsers...

Submit a bug to the site webmaster.

EDIT: When you say you went to an internet cafe, were they using the same browser as you? Or were they using IE?

It could also be python php etc.. But for javascript to run you dont need to install java.

Python and PHP are both server side processing. Javascript is about the only clientside language that works pretty much everywhere.

If they're doing the validation client-side (which is likely, because the behaviour is differing), then it's got to be JS.

Java and Javascript are completely unrelated.
