OK so heres the deal. ive been trying to OC my ram to 2400mhz using the standard XMP profiles. everything works fine as long as i don't turn the computer off. everything is stable in windows. but when the computer is turned off for a bit then turned on it will not post beep or do squat... at least untill i press the reset button after that the computer will restart after 5 seconds of pressing the reset and it boots up fine. ive check the ram and its still OCed in the bios. im using the latest bios. ive tried diffrent graphics cards. ive tried every ram slot.

At first i thought it was the ram since it wasn't in the QVL. the ram i was using before is a corsair vengeance 16gb dual channel kit cmy16gx3m2a2400c11r. so i went and got a G skill 32gb quad channel kit f3-19200cl10q-32gbzhd. Tried disabling step speed and tried both xmp profiles and it didn't change a thing...

Everything runs perfectly at stock speeds. the only thing i havent tried is OCing the ram manually which i don't want to do cause i haven't a clue on how to do it and don't want to damage my MB cpu or ram.

So now im at a loss.. i cant find an answer on the internet. or at my work (i work at a local computer store) So im really hoping someone here can help me out.

Heres my current build specs

Solution
So you've enabled XMP and DRAM is at 2400? or trying to get to 2400? Try setting your CPU to a OC of about 4GHz, then enable XMP select profile 1, next go to system voltages and set the VCCSA (System Agent voltage) to 1.2 and give it a try

Alright thanks for the quick reply. Would you mind telling me how to set the cpu to around 4ghz? I'm new to OCing.

Thanks

in the cpu performance tab there is no cpu ratio setting to change the multiplexer.
