I'm new to actually deciding what is best for getting a new desktop and i wasnt sure if this build could handle a 770 or if it even had the slot to hold it.
also any other tips or suggestions would be nice. thank you

Ah, gotcha. Then you're completely fine. Everything should work perfectly. The only concern would be the PSU, but your's has enough juice.

I am mainly looking into gaming, running things like titan fall on ultra, but i also do photoshop stuff and wouldnt mind getting into some video work with game recording

If you're not heavy into video editing or recording, I would avoid the 4820K. Even then, it doesn't hold too much of an advantage. I'm definitely not an expert, but the only plus I know of is the quad channel memory.
If I were you, I'd stick with a 4770K, an Asus z87 plus, and use the money from the X79 mobo to get a GTX 780 or R9 290. The 4770K should pose no problem whatsoever in keeping up with these cards.

Things to consider: CPU...the i7 4820k is an excellent processor and you could pair it with any single GPU on the consumer market and get optimal performance.
Power Supply: GTX 770 recommended PSU is that of 600w and has at least 42a on the 12v rail. A good quality PSU is important for not only the wattage but the power delivery. Brands like Corsair, Seasonic, Thermaltake, XFX, ect. are expected to give clean power to your components.
Motherboard: Pretty much Any Newer (H61,H77,Z77, H81,Z87,Z97 ect)good quality MB will give the same performance in games. Depending on what your doing with your PC you may need a MB with Lots of features and an exceptional power design and VRM. Scoket 2011 X79 Motherboards are generally considered for the enthusiast as well as Video Editing and 3d rendering.

I don't doubt the ability of the 4820K at all. It's just that the money used for an LGA 2011 could be better invested in something else. Especially when a 4770K is better suited for gaming, though not by much.

but in general, would the Geforce 770 be compatible with that motherboard? like would it fit and everything, because the rest of everything is already bought, i just need to replace the graphics card that it came with.
it was a Nivdia quadro k600 2GB....

Thank you a lot, im like new to this site today, but when i decide to build my next computer i shall definitely come here and i will be around on this site to learn more about computers too. I am just starting to get into actually build my own computer.

I guess I was not really clear..sorry. I was trying to say that the components you have chosen would be more than enough for the GTX 770 and would be Compatible...... But I was also saying that the X79 platform can be avoided if you don't really need it. H77,Z77 for Ivy Bridge CPUs like the i5 3570K or i7 3770K which if you live near a micorcenter you could find for arounf Half the regular price. And H87 and Z87 for Haswell ie i5 4670K or 4770k....These are considered mainstream performance platforms and are aslo great for the GTX 770... so you could save money going with the "mainstream" platform
