I'm usually pretty good at tracking this sort of information down but not this time. How does one go about opening the case on a Gateway SX2379-UP? Is there a diagram or users manual that shows how to do it? Once I get over that hurdle I can handle replacing the battery, assuming of course I can locate it.
Thanks for your patience and help.

as long as you are carefull and and try this you should be ok , sorry i cant find any images or video for this , surely there can't be two many screws to the far left of the case with a sliding panel , just don't unscrew everything and you should be fine if you follow those steps

Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping for something a little more specific to the SX-2300 series with perhaps a image or two as to which screws need to be removed. I would like to have some idea of what I'm doing before detaching all the assorted cables and connections. One thing about Dell computers was that I've always been able to find some type of image and instructions to do about most any type of repair so I was a bit miffed when I found zilch on this Gateway model. Again, thanks for the help. Worse comes to worse, there's always trial and error.

Thanks much Micky. I feel better knowing I wasn't the only one who couldn't find any images of it. I thought was was losing my "search touch". I'll break out the tools after the SF Giants - LA Dodgers game today.

Again, thanks for the quick response and have a good weekend.
