hi ,
with this graphic card you can play all released and upcoming games but new games will demand better graphics card and you will need better graphic card in future now with this card you can play battlefield 4 , call of duty ghosts , need for speed rivals , far cry 3 , assassins creed IV but you have to change the graphics setting in games for best performance..

Try Battlefield 4 it would work smoothly even on extreme graphics
Ehm... Are you people aware that the R7 240 is one of the weakest new graphics cards? He'd be able to put BF4 on medium probably, but certainly not higher than that.

I dont think so .... his 4gb ram would help his graphics card work even better

No, it wouldn't. Is RAM is actually relatively slow, and RAM speed only significantly affects GPU speed if it doesn't have dedicated VRAM.
An r7 240 performs on par with an 8800GS from 8 years ago.
No need to bag on my build I'm 16 on tight budget what the heck do you expect seriously man
I'm not bashing it or 'bagging on it' or whatever you're saying.
I'm informing you of what it would run. And it would not run BF4 that well. Would you prefer I lied instead?
no not prefer that you lie but would it kill you to say "oh might not run it on high or ultra more like medium/low" ??
He is speaking the truth. He is not bashing your build, he is saying it will not work well. 4GB may not be enough for some games, and you may need a little faster card for Battlefield.
Battlefield 4 does not seem like a possibility to me, benchmarks are done in single player which gets better performance than multiplayer. Mantle may be able to get you to playable frame rates but I wouldn't rely on that. If your playing on a lower resolution you might be able to get away with it but there is no way you can max BF4. You can probably play a good amount of older games.
The graphics card is really the only thing holding you back. If you could afford any of R7 270 / HD7870 / GTX 760 (and your power supply can handle it) then you could likely play any game on decent settings @ 1080p.
As it stands with the r7 240, even if it's the DDR5 version there will be some of the newest games (2013+) that it will struggle with even at low resolutions and settings.
Also at some point you might want to up the ram to 8gb
