Hello tom's Hardware users!

First off I think the PSU will be adequate, but I'd like a confirmation from you guys before buying!

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3HirX
The set-up I'm looking at:
intel i7 4770
Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3
MSI R9 290 4G
Crucial 8 GB DDR3-1600 (=2 sticks of 4GB)
Crucial M500 CT240M500SSD1
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14, 2TB
Cooler Master CM 690 III (has 200mm and 120mm LED fans)

Now I think I can pull this off on a 550W PSU, but due to availibility I want to go for the following PSU:
be quiet! Pure Power L8 600W

If anyone would be nice enough to tell me why it is or isn't an adequate (mainly focus on the PSU please)

Thanks in advance and any general tip is much appreciated!

Thank you for your reply! I've swapped the PSU for the Cooler Master V650 Semi-Modular

Which should be quiete similar to the one you picked (I had to do a different one, due to availability ;))

Now I'm not 100% sure why I require 12V 31A on a single rail, is this perhaps the bare minimum for the GPU?

aside the PSU, do you have any other general tips for my build?

Yes, The GPU needs 31A on the single rail otherwise it won't power up, even worst you could cause damage to the GPU or PSU because of power shortage due to lack of power. The one that you pick is a great choice, since it has 54A on the 12v rail, you won't have issues with it. Your system is pretty solid, but if you want a tip get get a Hyper Evo 212 from Coolermaster around 50 dollars and your CPU will be as cool as you . Good luck!
