Hey all! I think my CPU and GPU temperatures are higher than the normal, optimal. When I start playing (BF3) my cpu and gpu are 50°C-60°C. After 1 hour playing my CPU is 70°C and GPU is 65°C. Is that normal and safe? Thanks the answers!

Comp. details:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i5 4570S @ 2.90GHz
Kingston HyperX 8GB RAM
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. B85M-G
MSI GTX 770 2GB Twin Frozr
FSP Aurum S Gold 600W

Your temps are normal, nothing to worry about, GPU and CPU will reach those temps in 1 minute, check for yourself, and will stay there for an hour or as much as you play , when you start hitting 90C+ that's where I will start worrying.

As long as you have fans venting out your case, moving old air out and new in, it is not that much of a problem. Usually motherboards have a system that tells you when it gets too warm. If you run into problems with it telling the warning too much, you may need to add a water cooler or add more fans.

GPU; the temperature is perfectly fine.
CPU; the temperature could be better (this is a 65W processor). The fact that it raise more with the time is due to a not optimal TIM, case and fan configuration. Also with the stock intel cooler you can not expect a better result.

If you do a stress test on the CPU it will not surprise me if the temp reaches +90°C, expecially when using LinX for test the pipeline AVX 2.0 of the Haswell architecture (this extra heat/voltage can be corrected by lowering the Vcore to a stable one, if possible). This is not your case, if your use is mainly gaming.
Normally the CPU temp on an optimized system + aftermarket cooler is around ~50°C maximum, while playing BF3/BF4.
However, you have nothing to worry about, 70°C is not a dangerous temp (but it's better if in the future you prevents the accumulation of dust).
