Hello All,
I have been having an issue for the last week and have not been able to figure it out. My computer will start up into windows, I even get the start up chime, but then it stops there. It only happens some of the time. The times it works my start up programs startbar, AIM, stickynotes, etc will load onto the screen. When it doesn't work it still loads the desktop on both monitors but the background doesn't cycle through, but will not load the startbar and my mouses sensitivity will be set to normal (instead of max for a Razor Naga) and if I scroll over the start bar I just get a spinning wait icon. If I hover over any desktop icons they are highlighted, if i click on one it is extra highlighted, but then everything stops and I can't click on another one. At this state I am also unable to open task manager.
Attempts: Windows will boot in both safe and safe with networking modes as well as sometimes just normally. I have run AVG and Avast and cleaned up a few things but it didn't help. I have also run the windows repair utility which also didn't help.
Specs:
Everything except the video card is about 3-4 years old
OS: Windows 7 home premium 64-bit
CPU: i7-2600k
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
MoBo: Asus Sabertooth P67
PSU: Rosewell 1000W lightning
Storage: 2 SSD (OS and Games) and a few HDDs
Ram: 16GB Crucial
Dual monitors at 1920x1200
Any help would be appreciated. I wrote a lot but tried to be inclusive if I left out any necessary info please let me know.
