I know that the G3220 haswell CPU is locked , and runs at 3000MHz , I am thinking of overclocking it to 3.1 GHz which is possible through FSB and have some extra Vcore for overclock to be successful , but how exactly do I do it?
I am not interested in the overclock , I am interested in just being able to overclock.
Help Appreciated.

You can ever so slightly increase the bus speed of the CPU, but that's the only thing you can do as the multiplier is locked.
But it better than nothing.
Hope this helps!

I'm not too familiar with overclocking a locked CPU.
Ill have a look because I have a Pentium g3220 system as my server, ill have a little play around with it and see if I can increase the bus speed.
Ill get back to you soon

Hi there, I managed to overclock the Pentium g3220 front side bus but on a Z87 chipset only.
As the multiplier is locked you cant do much really but all I did was slightly increase the voltages sent to the CPU and then I increased the front bus speed up ever so slightly as this CPU is not meant for overclocking.
If you have any question or would like any more detail please contact me
Hope this helps!
