Ok so I was wondering if its possible to run my Nvidia GF GT 740M along with Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600

your laptop is configured to only start the dedicated GPU chip when required, then the power saving intel graphics card is disabled.
but basically the intel GPU uses the available RAM installed on your laptop for memory, and the dedicated GPU also pulls some of that memory when needed.
so there you go, you're basically using both at the same time when running a memory intensive application.
