Is my pc good enough for the latest games?

I dont want to play anything on ULTRA with 1080p , my monitor is 1440x900 and medium settings to high is ok for me as long as it dosnt lag .
I want to play games like watchdogs, GTA 4 , skyrim , GTA 5 if it ever releases , crysis , Rivals and you know games like that.
My Current PC:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0Ghz i can update to a Core 2 Quad if its nessessary
4GB Ram will be upgraded to 8GB soon
Ati Radeon HD 7770 GDDR 5 GHZ edition
250GB SSD Samsung
:D If anyone have this type of configration please help me out . I have tried minecraft and it runs good and also played AC II wich rus on max . Thankyou

Hi. Going to a quad core would be helpful. The Video card, although not a new one, is a good one. With your resolution being as it is, I don't foresee any lag. Going to a higher res you will most likely.

Sorry to disappoint you but, that system is not that great. Maybe medium settings with a lower resolutions, you'll be able to pull good frames. All the games that you mention are really GPU + CPU intensive so don't expect the best out of your system.

Well at 1440x900 you should be able to run with Medium settings on that 7770.
The 7770 is not a new card, but it is still a good value-orientated choice.

Your CPU is good enough right now, so don't upgrade to a CPU which though is more powerful is old.

Your next upgrade should be a whole system rework, changing the CPU, Motherboard and GPU.

I agree, if you really do enjoy PC gaming, you could save for a whole new system. Also I was wrong about the Processor, http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Processor-2-83GHz-1333MHz-BX80569Q9550/dp/B0012WDMNC thats the best Core 2, its on par with a Core i3-3220.

But I would not be worth upgrading your current system to the Q9550, it would be a waste of money.
