This is a bundle I've been looking at and am wondering if the price is good and if the components are compatible with a sapphire r9 280x card and if so, how will it perform. I need a system for gaming and also 3d modelling.

Here is the bundle http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/barebones/bb-47704a....

I wouldn't buy a prebuilt system like that, you would be better off building it yourself.
Plus, I'm unsure of the brand Novatech, and unsure if their Power Supplies are good.

I suggest you use PCPartpicker (site is down with DNS probs ATM, but should be up later). and see if the price for the components you have in that bundle is cometitive with what you can get in the UK. Personally I don't think the price is that bad.

You can also individually research the power supply and see if it is rebranded and who the OEM manufacturer is and what reputation that OEM has.

From what I can gather is that at one point in time they were rebranded OCZ PSUs. Now that OCZ is no more, I don't know.

A lot of people will tell you that PSUs are very important, quality wise and I won't disagree. The risk at whatever %age you want to assign is that the failure takes out your entire rig, but then you have to ask yourself how likely is it to happen and "do you feel lucky?" :)
