Right now I'm trying to decide on a graphics card for my build. I was planning on a GTX 780, but it might be overkill for a 1080p monitor. I am planning on getting either more monitors or a larger/higher resolution monitor in the distant future. I can't afford a 780 ti or a 2nd graphics card right now, so here are the options I see:
Buy GTX 770 and save $200. Then, after a while, upgrade monitor and get a GTX 780 Ti.
or
Buy 780 now. Upgrade monitor later and get a 2nd 780 for SLI.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Solution

Hi. Go with the GTX 770. It is a great card ad you can save a little for whatever may lie down the road.
