As I mentioned in my title, I have a Windows 8 64-bit laptop with 8GB of RAM and it is lagging an insane amount. For instance, I would be playing a game or just typing something into google, and the keys would do what they were suppose to do nearly 5-10 seconds after I've pressed them. I have scanned my computer for viruses and rootkits multiple times in the past few days and nothing has appeared malicious. However, I did also perform a System File Check (SFC/Scannow) and upon completion, it stated: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"
Also, I tried to run a disk check but for some odd reason, it says something along the lines of: Scanning and Fixing Drive (C) and then it finishes 5 seconds later. What should I do to fix these problems? I'm not sure how to read the CBS.log file. I opened it and searched through it, but I couldn't find any useful information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I think you just bought a defective laptop it all depends for how long you had it for you should return it and get a different brand if you can!

The hard drive on this laptop has already failed once and Samsung claimed responsibility for it and replaced it for free. I've had this laptop for nearly a year now. I don't think it is completely defective. I'm sure there is something I can do.
