First off with my WD elements 1042. i'm having a problem with opening this hard drive because it says in Disk Management that "The request failed due to a fatal device hardware error" thus i cant partition it. i dropped it several times in the past but the last one was when my hdd was opened. it was my first time seeing its contents because i never did have the problems to do so. i also cant connect it to my desktop because its connection type is entirely different than the other ones which uses SATA.

Next is the storejet transcend 640 gb. i have this problem since last year and still cant find a solution for this problem. it is detected by the desktop but never shows up on My Computer. detected by disk management but says that it is not initialized. and here comes the problem. i try to initialize it and it was successful. creating a partition is successful too. when i try formatting it it is also succe3ssful but when i try to disconnect it and connect it again, i have to do the same thing over and over again. i did this steps when my hdd just had the problem. the steps that im doing now is the same but it never finishes to formatting the drive.

i really need every extra storage i could spare because im already running low on my other hdds...
