Heres my question say you have a hard drive that has a exsisting operating system on a hidden partition, when you go to install a new operating system such as win 7 it just creates a new folder and a partion for old files. Is there a software program thats better than killdisk that will erase every hidden and exsisting partition on a hard drive?
Im also running into a problem with a 80gb iede on my Dell precision that somehow developed 3 partions.I has installed windows xp on it and set it up as a slave. When I went to change it to master it only had 2gb of useable space.
Im wiping it with kill disk and found 2 more other partitions.2 gb,52.56 gb and another with 36gb.I want to wipe all out all 3 partitions so that i have my full 80gbs of useable space back to use.
Thanks in advance

Killdisk removes ALL partitions on a hard drive in one process, including any hidden ones, so I don't understand why you need something different or "better".

However, it's no good using it on a drive where you want to preserve the Windows installation because, as I said, it deletes ALL partitions, you can't choose which partitions to exclude. To remove all partitions on a drive except those you want to preserve, you need to boot from a partition manager CD such as this one:

I forgot to add that when I installed the os o the 80gb drive it no other partions on it and it was setup as a slave.
Now for some reason it made more partions on the drive. When I went to set it up as master I only had 2gb of useable space on my drive. It was only when i popped in killdisk the other partions were visable. How in the world does this happen?
