3 Monitors not working, despite active adapters

Hi guys,


I'm sure you read this question a million times, still i cant find an answer.

I have a HD7870 with one HDMI one DVI and 2 MDP ports.

My monitors are connected as follows.

1 HDMI 1 DVI and 1 MPD with an amd recommended active dongle.

However, i got the same problem as i had with a passive dongle. All 3 monitors are recognized but i can only have two of them active at a time.

Am i missing any driver or so?

PS:

Setup is working when i connect my third monitor with a passive MDP->VGA dongle (from my macbook, pretty sure its a passive one).

I have been searchin for hours. But all threads i find tell me to use an active dongle which i do.

Pleaaaase help me

thanks for the fast reply.
I bought this one from amazon.

(Its in german i'm afraid ^^)
It is also listed on the amd website and the package also says that it converts the HDMI signal into an actual dp signal.

So this should be right.

I already ordered another one just to try it. It is a bit strange though cause this specific model is listed on the amd site. Where did you find comments? Did u look it up on amazon uk?

Seems u're right. Everyone is complaining because it isnt active. :)
