New to the forums and to watercooling, but I am familiar with this site and its level of expertise in the matter of solving problems. Thanks in advance

It started when my PC shut down unexpectedly. It was an instant shutdown, not like windows shutdown. Turn the PC back on and it runs fine and no "Windows had an unexpected issue" type loads. The shut down occured during a benchmark of unique valley so I tried running it again and the same issue occured so I knew that it was not random.

**Before I go I I should point out that all compenents used used for 3 months and worked flawlessly while I was waiting for my case to be built and the water components to show up.

  • Tested the PSU and its self check button and got all greens so I eliminated the PSU as the issue

Did a minor stress test on the CPU and it still never got higher than 40C. Idle is 25c

Started the benchmark for Unique Valley again after waiting a day and noticed during the run the FPS went from 50-65 to 10-20 about 40 secs in and there is a ton of tearing and stuttering. I stopped it prematurely to see the temps of the GPU and they were north of 80C. And it shut down about 10 secs after I stopped the benchmark Idle is 40c. Repeated this 3 more times for consistency and tested the first card outside of crossfire and then moved connects to the second card with the same results.

So now that all fingers point to the GPU overheating I researched possible issues.

  • Unplugged power from 1 pump and then the other so confirmed both are working fine.

Added a dab of dishwashing liquid to the loop to removed air bubbles since the case is over 100lbs it makes it difficult rock it or turn it upside down. That took away most but now I hear a faint squeal with some leaking coming from the center tiny hold of the rez and lot of bubbles after (but go away after 10 min). See picture

All the Drivers are up to date and working.

So the other options I have not done is :

  • Drain the system and remove the gpus to see if there are any issues with the waterblock mating to the card. The thermal paste I used is artic MX-4 if that matters.

On of the radiators i used lost a thread so I flipped it around and setup up my loop with the fad turned around. Well I noticed one of my fans was backwards so when i uninstalled the rad another thread came out so I put in back in the right way only the water loop is coming in through the OUT port and out through the IN port. Don't think that matter a ton for this problem, but might be wrong.
