Hello,

I tried to install a new windows (7).

During installation an error occurred and when I tried to install it again "no drives could be found". After a while I managed to "clean all" from cmd and than the hdd could be seen and the installation went smooth.

The problem is that I lost everything.

Is there a way and if so which software/way would you recommend to recover info from the lost partitions?

THank you.

clean [all]

Use the clean command to remove partition or volume formatting from the current in-focus disk by zeroing sectors. By default, only the MBR or GPT partitioning information and any hidden sector information on MBR disks is overwritten. If you specify the "all" parameter, each and every sector can be zeroed, and all data that is contained on the drive can be deleted.

Stop using this drive and take chances with some partition recovery tools online, like Recuva, iCare Data Recovery Free and EeasUS Data Recovery, etc.
In case of any data loss problems, you’d better never clean a drive or partition without any data backups.

I would use a disc editor (eg DMDE freeware) to examine the sectors. Run the vertical scrollbar from sector 0 down to the end of the drive. Do you see anything other than zeros? If not, then no software will be able to recover any data.

I have a similar question if anybody can help me out.

I'd like to know if a format can be "reversed" on an SSD. Meaning can the FAT and partition be recovered?

Admin(s), do I have to open another thread for this?
