Hi
I tried recently to install new ram for my computer with an asrock am2nf6g-vsta motherboard. I tried to install 4 1gb modules with the right specs. If I insert them into slots 1 and 3, it works but with single channel memory. I want to know how to make it so that I can insert all 4 modules with dual channel memory, so I get all 4 gb's. Thank you to all who reply even if it doesn't work, thank you for trying.

Maybe have a look in bios and see if there is a switch for single/dual channel. Old mobo's might do this.

If I put one from the computer in it with one of the new ones in the same colour, so that it should be dual memory, then the screen gets grey lines going horizontally and I cant read whatever it was saying on the screen.

Yeah, that's the first place I checked, but the manual is crap. It has no useful info, and doesn't even have a troubleshooting section on this. The only section about ram replacement is like half a page long.
