Computer Rebooting under load

Hi, my computer is rebooting while i'm playing WoW, i dont think its a heat issue, its running no where near what ea product deems "safe" my system is

i7 4771 CPU Moba Z87-GD65 msi, 16gb DDR3 1600gz G.Skill ram, AMD radeon r9 290 graphics and a Corsair VS650 PSU

please help

What are your Load GPU and CPU temps?

Remove all overclocks.

iv got it running now in windows mode, not fighting or anything.

CPU max so far is 67
GPU max so far is 66

Those are IDLE temps or full LOAD temps?

WoW is running at the moment, is that underload? or is there a program or such i can use to get those temps?

Run at default without overclocking and see if your system runs without reboot. I would then recommend re-applying your oc and taking it down a notch. This way you are running the most stable oc. Learn to manually adjust by watching a few vids or keep it not oc'd.

When trouble shooting this problem ALWAYS return all overclocks to stock speeds.

Only if you do not know how to find a stable oc. It's simple. Go slow and steady but it takes some time and effort but for a one line answer, yes, it's better to run without oc in terms of stability. the 290 is more than strong enough to run wow without oc.

I am not Overclocking at the moment, i open WoW again and have abit of a fool around and see if it reboots again

Default without oc is the way to go if you don't have much time to play with oc. If you do get the time it can squeeze out more performance but it may take a few tries before finding the right settings. You'll get there in time. Again have fun!

It definitely could be the PSU. The VS series from Corsair is not the best.

WoW ran in windowed for over an hour, not 5 mins into full screen my comp crashed again, tried playing in just windowed, crashing/rebooting in windowed now, only happening in WoW. if i sit here and watch youtube or mess around its fine so far

any explanation?

If your psu is failing then this could affect system stability. Try downloading bluescreenview

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

and see if when it crashes next if you can use this to read what code causes the crash. If it also states something about system power failure it could very well be the psu. I concur with tiny voices on this.

My computer doesn't say anything when it goes, my keyboard goes black my mouse loses the laser and my screen just black, fan leds go out and then it reboots, sometimes the fans dont go out but i have to turn it on and off to get it going again

You don't have to bsod to use this software; the name is somewhat misleading. Simply install, next crash, open software and it will typically list a code

As you know you can get a 650w psu much cheaper but this is an all around solid psu that should provide you years of quality service. Keep that in mind when finding a replacement. Please keep us updated!
