Brand new install of Win7 on an SSD from a USB w/ no other drives attached.
Then I add the 1TB HDD, use Windows disk manager to partition and init and call it "Data",
Next I create a folder on the root level and call it "MyData". That's where I want to put "My Documents, My Pictures, My Downloads, etc..."

In the Users folder, I check the properties on the "Downloads" folder, select "location" and click "move". I navigate to "MyData" and select folder.

That's when it gets weird.

The D drive no longer has a folder called "MyData", they system folder "Download" seems to have disappeared... or more accurately it sort of MERGED with the D drive somehow. When I search for Download, I find something... but when I check its properties and location, it's not ON the D Drive... it IS the D drive. I tried to move it back by restoring default, and it tries to put itself back in Users... but then it fails with an error about

Sure enough, when I DL something, it ends up on my HDD... but at the root level, not in a folder called "MyData".

Anybody know what's going on here?
