So, I'm new to building a pc and I was try to build a gaming pc that can play titanfall n diablo lll ROS with ultra high resolution. It this build good for this purpose? Plus, I will do some photo n video editing with it, and hopefully is upgradable in the future. Thanks for any help.
The budget of my build was under $1000

Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3
AsRock Z87 Pro4 / Extreme4
(If MATX is better *AsRock Z87M Extreme4)
Corsair Vengeance (1x8GB) 1866MHz RAM
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD
Galaxy GeForce GTX 760 2GB
CoolerMaster N400
Corsair PSU 550W
Need a 24" monitor as well!!!!

Thanks!!

At first glance does that look alright.
A few suggestions,
i would get a 4670K with the extreme 4,
i would get 2x4gb of ram for dualchannel.

Thanks Vic40. First, I understand that 2x4GB of ram would have a better performance but I am planning to upgrade it to 16/32Gb ram which a 1x8GB would save me a bit of money. Second, is there any difference between 4670K and E3-1230 V3?

Moreover, is the GTX 760 GPU provide me enough power for titanfall and diablo 3 row gaming in ultra high res.? and what kind of monitor is good for gaming?

Even when upgrading could you add 2x8gb for a total of 24gb's of ram would you like to do that.Just try to get the same kind or at least the same speed, timings and voltage.

With the 4670K is there the ability to overclock.(it has an igp too)
The E3-1230 V3 on the other hand has hyper threading.(no igp)

I like the option of overclocking,if you think you're better of with hyper threading is that probably the better option.
For "some" photo/video editing will the 4670K already do nicely i think. The extra speed you could add would help with that too.
If the next is what you're talking about does hyper threading do little for it,

there are more benchmarks to look at.

Thanks bro. just wanna ask a stupid question, whats the difference between i5 and i7 even when they have the same clocking speed?

and, just a update, is it worth to have a z97 MoBo rather than the z87 MoBo?

Stick with the Xeon, but unless you see yourself running SLI in the future, I would just get a B85 or H87 motherboard. No need to pay extra for the Z87. 1x8Gb RAM is fine as you would never ever notice the difference between single and dual channel. Love the case(I use the N200 and love it). I would get a XFX, Antec, or Seasonic psu since they're really not anymore expensive. Maybe you could spueeze in a 280x? If not, the 760 is good.

i5 has turbo but not hyperthreading
i7 has turbo AND hyperthreading
