It's a great card!
You can pretty much max out any game at 1080p with it. (In some games you may have to turn off AA if you want 60fps at all times)
I have the gigabyte version with 3x windforce which makes the card very silent whilest keeping it cool.
It's worth the money!

make sure that your looking at the Gigabyte REV 2.0 cooler, if REV 1.0, don't bother. I have an R9 290X Windforce 3X OC REV 2.0 cooled model, runs cool and quiet, very happy with it's performance, certainly recommend it to you.

It' a solid mid range card. Performs between the previous generation AMD 7870-7950, closer to the 7950 though, like the once popular 7870 XT/LE. So smooth game play @1080p. The nice winforce cooler will keep things cool & offer the possibility to overclock it a little further if you wanted too.
