2. Even factory SSDD drives are not as fast as a pure SSD.
3. Just have the OS and applications on the SSD, and stuff that doesn't matter on the HDD.

i meant that i could only about 8GB of the SSD for caching
You probably could, but I'm not sure you'd see much benefit with it. It's only going to cache what would actually fit in that 8GB, and what files from the HDD you use most often. Everything else runs off the HDD as usual.
