I just recently built my rig, i5 4670, gtx 770 gpu, asus z87 sabertooth mobo,16gb ram, 650w psu, w7 64 bit. My pc crashes every 15 mins or so when playing witcher 2. I dont really know whats wrong since there isnt any error report. I know this is an old game so there has to have been a fix for this that i just cant find.
Any help is appreciated.

This definitely has too many gateways. This could mean PSU/CPU/GPU/RAM (mostly) is either corrupt/damaged or you need to update the software. As you say it is a new build there is also too many cases. There is no problem that the game is old. I doubt anyone can help you with this the problem could be anything. I would go with this though:

Step 1: Open up the case, after you unplug the power units. Take out every plug and wiring and rebuild it. This assures you that it is not a hardware problem.
Step 2: Do a fresh format again on your windows.
Step 3: Make sure you have the latest GPU drivers as they are the most related here.

I would do this (even if it takes forever) as this problem could mean that you will have other game...
