Is my ISP messing with my modem just so I have to pay them to fix it?

I noticed for the past month, my modem (WiFi modem and router in one) has been randomly loosing connection to the internet, roughly around 8:30-9:00 and them my modem seems to crash and reboot (Lights on front for down stream, up stream, etc. turn off and then boot up, Power light never goes off). I noticed in my modem's event log that there is some very strange things going on. I can only recognize some of them, but I was wondering if anyone could look through this list to tell me if anything is highly unusual. Even if it doesn't involve my ISP (I bought this modem from my ISP, Cox Communications), I can still tell that there is a lot more errors than there should be in my event log.

Extra Info
I have had problems with this modem since day one. My ISP wouldn't replace it (even though I just bought it from them) and they would just keep sending down a technician to try and fix it (They could never fix it and would charge me $60 each time) I finally just cancelled the appointment and fixed it myself by making my IP address static. After that I no longer had any problems for over a year, but now this has started. I called my ISP and now they just want to send someone down again on Monday.

While writing this my internet has gone down over 5 times

Solution
I doubt they're deliberately screwing with you.

Most likely either the modem is dying, or the cable from your house to the street is damaged.

I'd pick up another modem/router. ISP-supplied ones are usually pretty much crap.

This modem was $180 New unopened, and my ISP doesn't allow for its customers to own their own modems (So I was told when I set up my connection) and I currently cant afford another one.
My cable was inspected when they set up my connection (It was a brand new connection because the apartment was retrofitted), I doubt anything could have damaged it.

I might demand them to replace it when they come down Monday

I have good news and bad news.
The good news is, its not my Modem

The bad news is, Its not my Modem... Apparently there is a damage line somewhere in town and for the past 3 days they have been looking for it but cant seem to find it. I was told that it should be fixed by 7:00pm today, but if not call them again. This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have finals to take online that are due this week. Oh well, the mystery was solved anyway.
