Is this PSU good enough for my build?

Hi guys I'm about to put together my first gaming PC and I just wanted to make sure i had enough power for my rig. My friends have been recommending this PSU to me http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cx500.

My build so far is this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3HVX7 (the reason I don't have a case is because I got an old Alienware case off my friend)

The reason I'm asking this is because I have been doing some research on the web and have been seeing people with similar builds to mine, but getting responses saying the PSU wouldn't be able to handle the load. As well as recommendations to have a 750W-850W PSU instead. Can someone tell me whether or not this PSU is good enough? I don't have any plans to SLI this card (obviously based on the motherboard alone), and no plans at the moment to OC the system.

The PSU is plenty, you'll be fine. Those PSU's do tend to fail though, that's my only concern.

You will only need 400W for that build.

I would make sure that Alienware case isn't proprietary to their builds. You may not be able to fit juts any board in there.

Thanks for the feedback! Also the case does not requrie any proprietary hardware.
