Good afternoon,

Earlier today I had no problem connecting to the internet and everything worked fine on my PC. Since i felt like my PC ran a bit slow i decided to reboot it. After the reboot the PC wasn't able to connect to the internet.

The following was the error i recieved when trying to connect; " There seem to be an error with the driver or a hardware-related problem on the network adapter Real Teak RTL8168C (P) / 8111C (P ) Family PCI - E Gigabit Ethernet NIC ( NDIS 6.0)

During the 6 years i've had this PC i have never come across this type of error before

What I have done trying to solve the problem:

- Checked device manager, there was no error to be found on either the network card or the wireless card

- I have updated the drivers on PCI-e network card and the wireless card

- Tried to disable/enable both cards

- Tried to restore the computer to a previous version when it was functioning correctly

- Tried different internet cables (on 2 different routers and 2 different PCs)

- Rebooted the Internet

- Psychially opened the PC and made sure that everything was in the right place and connected

- I have run test of all the hardware in the computer, and no error came up

- Checked the input for the internet cable, i got both lights working, 1 green and 1 orange

Do you have any suggestions or things I can test to see if the network card is dead ? I am not a PC expert, but i can follow instructions.

More detatils:

I run a Vista 64-bit system

Can you help me please :(

Thank you very much !
