I was looking into building a new pc since my older one is dying.

I originally wanted to make this ;

CPU AMD Athlon X4 750K 3.4GHz Quad-Core $88.32
Motherboard MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Micro ATX FM2 $64.75
Memory G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 $46.98
Storage Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $59.99
Video Card Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB $101.00
Case fractal core 1000 $35.00
Power Supply Corsair 430W ATX12V $39.98
total was around 430 ish

I really like that small case because i can carry it around so i chose core1000
but im really liking those cubic cases. I know the smaller cubic cases and parts are more expensive. Is it possible to make one with a $400 budget $440 at max?

At this price, and given that you want to carry it, you are honestly better off buying a laptop. If you want to start at a $400 PC you should try this

A gaming laptop is more expensive than a desktop gaming pc. Also, I am building one? I said it up there lol

You can easily get it to $440 with another case, the case is a lot of personal preference, I built my first PC in that case and it was easy to assemble and left plenty of room for upgrades. These parts will leave plenty of room for future upgrades. The motherboard can support 32 gigs of ram, the case has plenty of HDD space and room to route wires through the back to get good air flow, there are holes cut out for liquid cooling, and the processor is in the AM3+ chipset so you can upgrade to a FX series processor without getting a new motherboard. I do not see why you would want the mini PC to carry around being you would still need to carry a monitor and a generator with you. If you dont want the parts I have above, I then advise you to get a laptop.

Ahh thanks, parts look good, I'd just change the case and take out the optical drive to drop the price a little. But thanks alot and I wanted to carry it around for Lan parties. Haha, so no need for a generator

I just included the optical drive incase you did not have an external one. Personally I just used an external one to install windows, one of those to be used for 4 different PC's was better than buying 4 internal ones. You really only need it to install windows and occasionally to back stuff up, which is why external CD drives are better.

Edit: You still do lan parties? Nice. I thought those died, I remember those doom parties...
