On the flip-side of this OS-X equation I am also considering the, GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-OC Force, and I'm chasing rumor of the Gigabyte Ultra Durable 5 GA-X79-UP5 which I only fond in the -UP4 version. Suggestions on video are also greatly appreciated. Intentions are to run DaVinci at the heart of the video production chain. HTML publishing may have to be transited from SandVox over to DreamWeaver, That will depend on how quickly this old-dog an come up to speed on HTML injections to what are presently, very limited CSS foundations in classic design templates. Yes! I will have to LYAFL or Two! Processor will be dictated by the motherboard's strengths I suspect. Please disabuse me of this notion if I'm wrong. All Assistance Greatly Appreciated.

By Davinci, Im assuming youre referring to Resolve correct? In which case, you want to buy some sort of board that supports multiple GPUS, with at least two or three PCI-E 3.0 16x slots. DaVinci is more about having sheer graphics power, backed up by a solid CPU. My personal opinion would be the Z87-OC Force, simply because they're a lot easier to work with when installing OSX. They also do have very stable PCI lanes and cooling: good for what you need. Pair it with an i7-4770K
