Hello. I am currently in the Market for a nice Webcam that can give a crystal clear picture, ect. I want to use it for Skype mainly and also maybe use it for adding FaceCam to some Videos. So I was wandering does anyone have any Webcams they know are good? I did find this one but I'm not sure if it can go on my Monitor?! http://www.johnlewis.com/panasonic-ty-cc20w-skype-camera/p231553374 I like the design a lot. Any help would be amazing and I would be really grateful. Thank you

That's pretty expensive for a webcam. Part of the reason is the marketing tricks companies play. Any webcam can be used for skype videos, but they add in "Panasonic Skype Webcam" since people feel safer buying it knowing that it works with the intended program.

If you have a normal monitor, then most webcams should fit on it. I think any decent webcam (around 40 euros will work) will give you a good quality for skype.

Here is a list of webcams that should all work with skype from the site you provided and they should work with your computer/skype...

This one has good reviews and has a 5.0 MP camera which is what most smartphones are using.

Enjoy whichever one you pick! :)

Thankyou for the reply. Sorry I haven't returned the favour for a little while. Your right about the buying it because it has "Skype Camera" in the name =D. But I shall definitely take your advice and have a look at all this amazing info you have given me. I have a VG248QE Asus Monitor and a VE248H Asus Monitor. So what am I looking for in a Webcam?? When I say that I mean like for a PC you want a good CPU, GPU, Ram etc. So what specs make a good Webcam?? Again thankyou for the reply and hope you manage to see this

This should explain things pretty clearly

You might have to google some of the webcams to get specifications.
Example, Logitech C310 and FPS
(fps is Frame Per Second)

This is a computer retail site and had better prices on most of the webcams that I checked.

This site also shows lots of the specification on the product description.

Wow you have been a massive help thankyou =). I have just been looking at the Logitech C920 and I have watched some reviews and it looks good. But after watching videos by pro youtubers there quality seems better than that so I was wandering do they use something better like a facecam or camcorder or am I being a idiot =D
