Hi,
I have a problem with both the Netgear 3000 and the Netgear C3700. It seems that while connected to them the Windows Network function barely works at all. Sometimes I get a map of the whole local network and sometimes I get nothing.
My networks consists of 3 Windows 7 PC's and one 8.1 machine.
The reason that I suspect the routers is that if I plug in my old WNR3500L everything works fine.
I am wondering whether any one else has had a similar problem and whether anyone knows of a fix.
Thanks,
JW

we you switch from the old router to those new modem router did you redo your network with the settings for these one since the os still have the old device as part of the network try to use on pc and redo the network with the new part connect to it and see if you could map it correctly .

All networks are private and what shows up on the network map is almost always incomplete, sometimes lacking even the PC the map is displayed on. In addition, the net view command always returns "System error 53 has occurred. The network path is invalid".

I read the article, but saw nothing new.
In addition to the System error 53, another odd symptom is that none of the machines in the network is flagged as the Master Browser.
