280x vs 770?

Solution
If you choose a drive over 2 TB you will have to get UEFI boot working. This seems to be more trouble than it should be.
Western Digital Caviar Green drives are energy efficient models, not great for performance.
Seagate Barracuda 2TB would be better (and cheaper):

Caviar Black is the equivalent from Western Digital.

Supernova power supply is ok, but not as good as the XFX Pro you had selected earlier. Choose the 650W model to save some money:

You will find some games are faster with the GTX 770 and some with the R9 280X, so good to look at bench marks for the games you play.
It also depends on resolution. At 1080p the GTX 770 often comes out in front, but at 1440p the R9 280X is usually better.
At 1440p, the R9 290 would be a better choice.
I can see you have a selected a low end monitor, but this si comething to consider if you will look at a better monitor later (Asus PB278Q or Dell U2713HM for instance).

On the rest of your build:
8 GB RAM is enough for now, but can be a pain to upgrade later and 16 GB would be more future proof.
A 650W power supply would be plenty.
A 120 GB SSD isn't big enough to install your games, only Windows and most applications. Is this worth it? Consider maybe a fast 2TB drive to replace the SSD and 1TB hard drive.
Look at the Seagate Barracuda 2TB or Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB.
