I have a seagate 1tb external hdd connected to my mac g5 computer. The seagate power supply blew up and fried the pcb attached to the hdd.I fitted another new pcb and changed bios chip from original pcb but hdd does not spin up.I fitted original bios chip to new pcb and hdd spins up but with occasional clicking noise. My computer still dose not detect hdd.How can I connect my hdd with a damaged pcb.
Kind regards, Peter.

Are you saying that the 8-pin serial flash memory chip (aka "BIOS") from the patient PCB was transferred to a donor PCB, and that this donor PCB then failed to spin up the patient drive? IIUC, you then reinstated the donor "BIOS" onto the donor PCB and this donor PCB was then able to spin up your drive, albeit without access to your data?

If so, then this would suggest that the patient's "BIOS" chip was damaged either by the overvoltage or by your soldering. A damaged "BIOS" chip essentially renders your data unrecoverable by ANY data recovery company. In fact I have heard of only one person who claims to be able to do this.
