I have same ram but patriot, when following oc guides, the ram is turned down. So 2400mhz isnt really needed or utilized unless you dont oc your cpu and oc your ram but like azn stated there will be minimal performance gain, dont feel bad. I wasted my money too

Paid $115 for patriot viper 3, 2x4gb
Two months later added another set of patriot viper 3. Both are xmp but the timings are slightly different. No preformance Issues, system is oc'd by novice overclocker, me. I cant get sysyem to stay stable past 3.88ghz. Temp not an issue, mobo is 40c and cpu@57c.

10-12-12-31 just got it so have not got it so havent got a chance to play with timings but i got to admit played a bunch of games no failures ran memtest all good for the 125 i paid for 16 gb i feel like its pretty awesome paired with my fx 8350 and my gtx 780 running at 1121/1552

yes it is, i need a professional overclocker if such thing exists. Ive heard good things about the g-skills ram but i guess i got a bad batch or something, ended up selling now my patriot performs flawlessly, isnt that quad channel? 4x4gb?

you whole system is fast though, take into account that you have ssd too, with that much ram are you running ramdisk? you should, nice setup tho. my system will go to 3.88 ghz, one more bump in speed will crash it, temps are low too
