I am helping a buddy of mine build a new gaming desktop. He wants to purchase a wireless card with bluetooth capabilities. He will be using it for a wireless mouse and headset as well as giving him the ability to print wirelessly.

I'm not too knowledgeable about wireless technology, so what would he need to be able to do this? I've looked for some wireless bluetooth cards, but I'm not exactly sure what I am looking for.

What are some good cards that will fulfill his needs?

If he wants to game, wireless is not a very good option.

If he can not plug directly into the router with an ethernet lan cable, the second best option is to use a powerline adapter. TP-Link makes some decent 500mbps powerline adapters.

Then he can get a usb bluetooth dongle and that will be fine.
Also wifi and bluetooth, while not on the exact same frequency, are very very close so you could get some issues trying to do fast-action gaming with both wireless technologies requiring demanding response time.
