hello guys i got my r9 270 and corsair psu. When i opened the box it said something about the RMA number. So do i have to activate the product before i need to return it or peplace even if there is nothing wrong with it? or do i just keep the paper and hopefully nothing goes wrong with the pc parts? Please tell me how warranties work. and answer the Question above!

There are usually two ways warranties work. Most reputable e-tailers will offer a 30 day money back or similar depending on product etc.

The manufacturer warranty sometimes requires you to register the product on their website. Most reputable manufacturers will honor just having a receipt or proof of purchase - you don't have to register the product with them.

Usually you only request an RMA when something goes bad, you call the place you purchased it, or if the purchase warranty has expired, the manufacturer, and tell them the problem and request RMA.

Corsair is pretty good about their warranties, you could call or email them with your question. Your graphics card depends on your manufacturer. For instance, Gigabyte offers a 3 year...
What exactly was the information regarding RMA? Was it a piece of paper or was it simply the retailer's or etailer's information regarding the warranty and how to go about returning it if it is defective?
If you live in California you do not have to activate the warranty unless it is required for extended warranty purposes (such as registering the product with the manufacture within xxdays to qualify for 3 year warranty or similar). Other states or countries may have different requirements.
