Hello my set up is not to bad at all and I can play most games on high with 60 FPS. I been playing the Wildstar beta and I'm lucky to break 30 FPS. I've included my stats for everything. If there is something that is hurting my performance let me know. If I was to upgrade something what would your recommendation be?

Here are my stats.

For those who don't want to click for in depth info they are:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
Gigabyte GTX 670
ASUS M4A87TD/USB3
12 GB RAM
2 Corsair 2GB 667 MHZ DDR3
2 G Skill 4GB 800 MHZ DDR3

I know my ram is wonky so I'll replace it if I have to. I guess it all functions at 667 mhz or something?

I know my CPU is a bit old now but I dont see why it would be such a huge performance problem. If it is my cpu what mobo/cpu should I get? Also should I upgrade my ram as well?

Thanks for the help. I posted this in Video Games but I think its better here...not sure how to delete my other post.

Hey,

the game is far from its release stage and so it's too early to judge what the final performance will be. Having said that your CPU is what is holding you back I would imagine. Most MMOs need a strong CPU. As I have almost the same CPU (mine is 955 BE) which I am running with a slight overclock to 3.6 GHz and a bit better card (I've got GTX 770) I can tell you from personal experience that my CPU is holding me back when comes to MMOs and multiplayer games.

Unfortunately you are stuck with a similar MotherBoard as mine and so you have little to no way to upgrade your CPU. You will have to change both the MoBo and the CPU. I would suggest a few more months until the new Intel CPUs are released (new prices already announced) and then buy yourself a new MoBo+CPU combo. Go for Intel. Despite me being an AMD fan since 1995 I have to admit Intel is the way to go for gaming. AMD just gave up catching up with Intel and started to look at APU market and left Intel to produce all enthusiast gaming CPUs.

Makes sense. The game however releases in like 3 weeks..others are having problems but if it you suggest to wait I can deal with Phenom a bit longer. It's been a great CPU.
