Will putting PC on carpeted ground have any effects?

So my monitor recently broke on me and now my PC is being hooked to my TV but its currently on the ground and its carpeted. I have an Antec 300 and the original 140mm fan is still in place and the 120 I moved from being in the back exhaling air to the front higher level fan placement for inhaling. Also, I apologize if this is not the correct area in the forums for this.

I've put a 3/4th inch thick wooden panel underneath it.

The Antec 300 has the psu mounted with the intake fan facing the inside of the case. So placement on the carpet will had no effect on cooling or in taking dust. The back of the psu is a exhaust. You should try to get dust filters on all in take fan to help reduce dust inside the case.
