Stuck at 14% on scanning and repairing disk

My computer was on when a storm rolled through my area, and the power was briefly knocked out with the computer on. After I turned it back on, it says it is scanning and reporting the disk, yet it is stuck at 14%.

Yeah, I'm going to go to bed pretty soon and leave it on, but it's been stick for a good 4 hours or so.

maybe it's trying to repair the system or maybe a piece of hardware is shot. if it's the same way on wake up tomorrow try to reformat the drive........... wonder, do you have any parts you can do swaps with?

Actually, woke up this morning to a welcome screen. Lesson learned, turn off the computer during storms.
